“When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.”
2 Chronicle 7:1-2

Awesome!
Did you see how fire from heaven became the response to a man’s prayers? Does it amaze you to know that some believers know how to put heaven to work? But why have you been praying and it seems nothing has changed? Well, I have the answers for you in today’s devotional.

The fire from heaven when Solomon prayed according to 2Chronicles 7 is a way God approves of any person who consecrates his or herself to God. Consecration is the vital ingredient you need to command fire from heaven. You see, the sacrifice of gratifying pleasure, abstinence from sexual immorality and staying pure in heart is the result of the fire you see on any man.

You cannot carry water and fire within the same vessel. Likewise, you cannot burn for God and still have a thing for sin. Purity gives you recognition in heaven and makes your voice audible beyond the physical realm.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, I immerse myself wholly into your grace. Please help me to love you like never before.
2. Henceforth, I subject my desires, passions and cravings to you, Lord.
3. Father Lord, help me to stay pure even in the face of temptations.
