DAY FOUR | BAPTISM OF FRESH FIRE

by Oct 30, 202130 Days of Fresh Fire0 comments

“I indeed baptise you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
Matthew 3:11

The baptism of fire is the baptism into greater works. When Jesus was on earth, He did many powerful works that the devil himself trembled. However, He made a declaration to His disciples before He left, saying; “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father” (John 14:12). The greater works will become evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire.

One major characteristic of the baptism of fire is that it dispels complacency and spiritual laziness. You can’t be on fire and stay back without going about your father’s business- preaching the gospel. The baptism of fire is the power for evangelism. Also, this fire is the power that produces the fruit of salvation when you open your mouth to declare God’s word.

The truth is, people will not just believe the word because you preached it. They will believe because they can see the words in action through the manifestation of fire. Dear believer, enough of being complacent. Set yourself on fire for God and let the world watch you burn.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, I receive the baptism of fire right now.
2. I decree and declare fresh fire to begin to well up within me.
3. Father Lord, make me untouchable to the devil and his demons.
