DAY TWO | TARRY TO RECEIVE FRESH FIRE

by Oct 28, 202130 Days of Fresh Fire0 comments

“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
Luke 24:49

Glory to God!
The Holy Ghost, a promise in the scripture, had become the believers’ reality today. You have the Holy Ghost inside of you as long as you have received the life of God through Jesus Christ. But then, that is not all.
The Holy Spirit within you as a believer is to bear witness that you are a son of God. However, you also need another baptism of the Holy Spirit upon you. This is the fresh fire that comes with power.

To receive this, you must tarry. One of the meanings used to describe the word ‘tarry’ is to wait on someone. Receiving the fresh fire of the Holy Ghost upon you means that you must learn to wait on God, the giver of this fire.

What does it mean to wait on God? It is primarily a time of communion when you demand nothing but God himself. You are just fellowshipping with God and enjoying His presence. Waiting on God is pouring out your heartfelt gratitude, expressing your love and declaring God’s wondrous work.

As you begin to wait in God’s presence, you will get to a point when something on God begins to rub off on you. But, the challenge with many believers is that they do not linger in God’s presence to manifest the fresh fire. God seeks a true worshipper who will worship Him in Spirit and truth (John 4:23). These are the kinds of believers God pours out His fresh fire upon for greater works.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, I receive the grace to tarry in your presence.
2. Father Lord, endue me with power for great works.
3. I decree and declare baptism of fresh fire upon my life Jesus’ name.
