“Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.
Isaiah 38:5
Health challenges can cause a lot of pains and heartaches. A person’s health condition could be very distressing depending on the gravity of the sickness. Health challenges can make anyone experience a decline financially if such a challenge persists. It could lead to loss of joy, peace and sometimes loss of life. No one in their sane mind desires sickness. Yet, sickness still happens to people.
However, the hope we have as Christians is that God can heal sicknesses. He says, “…I am the God that heals you” (Exodus 15:26). He takes pleasure in healing you. The name of your sickness doesn’t scare God one bit. It might scare the life out of you, but don’t ever think it does the same to God, else you’ll limit God in your mind and conclude that the sickness is bigger than God.
You need to know that healing is your right. Jesus purchased it for you through his death and resurrection (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:23-24). You don’t have the right to be sick. It’s abnormal for you to be sick because Jesus paid for your healing already. In essence, you must claim your right through prayers.
Most importantly, sound health is your inheritance. God says he wants us to prosper and enjoy good health (3 John 1:2). This means that it’s not enough to be healed, you must live in good health. This is your portion.
Don’t shut your mouth even if there’s a prophecy of sickness unto death over you. Rebuke any evil words spoken over your health. This knowledge should make you claim what is yours in prayer because any prophecy that contradicts God’s word is not for you.
PRAYER POINT
1. Thank you Jesus for purchasing sound health for me through your death and resurrection.
2. I nullify every prophecy of sickness unto death over my life.
3. I reject sickness and diseases over my life and members of my family. I claim my healing inheritance!
