DAY TWENTY-SEVEN | JUDGEMENT BY FIRE

by Nov 25, 202130 Days of Fresh Fire0 comments

“For behold, the LORD will come with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.”
Isaiah 66:15

The fire of God does two things. It either purifies believers or brings destruction to the world of sinners. A lot had been said about the purifying fire of God. Today, I will like to share with you the judgemental nature of this fire. Remember, the scriptures show to us that God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). Truly, fire from God judges sin and every work of darkness.

Did you remember how God rained brimstone and fire upon Sodom and Gomorrah, the corrupt nations that despised God (Genesis 19:24)? What about Nadab and Abihu, the two sons of Aaron, who were destroyed by fire because they offered a strange fire before the Lord (Leviticus 10:1, 2).

Also, you would remember how the Prophet Elijah called down fire from heaven, according to I Kings 1:10, 12. Surely, God’s judgement comes as fire upon those who do not know him or despise His sovereignty. Apostle Paul declared it that Jesus would come with burning fire, taking vengeance on those who do not know God” (2 Thessalonians 1:8).

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, may I not be a victim of your judgement of fire.
2. Father Lord, help me to remain steadfast in you.
3. Lord Jesus, help me not to make mistakes that will cost me a lifetime.
