DAY TWENTY | RAISING A NEW FOUNDATION

by Oct 17, 2021New Things0 comments

“Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; whoever believes will not act hastily.”
Isaiah 28:16

What use is a foundation? Why do you need a new foundation? How can you achieve this? You see, just as a foundation is essential for every building to be erected, so also is it with life. Your life is built on certain foundations.

Your life foundation is the established values, doctrines, principles and idealogy upon which you build your life. They are the fundamentals of life, which you have grown to know and believe to be the truth. However, many of us had grown with a wrong foundation, either through our environment or wrong teaching.

Somehow, this wrong foundation had created a stronghold in our minds that limits us. This is why the word of the Lord to you today is to help break down those wrong and old foundations so that He can build a new foundation in you.

Now, for God to build a new foundation, He must pull down the old. The old foundation is rigidity in your mind to limit you in every way. Having a rigid mindset to hold on to what you know and believe despite its wrongness will only keep you under the old and wrong foundation. It is time to break down those strongholds of wrong belief in your life by learning, unlearning and relearning.

Consequently, your life goes in the direction of what you believe and beliefs are the ingredients for life’s foundation. If you believe wrongly, you will live wrongly. But if you allow God’s word to pierce into your heart and break down every wrong foundation, you will receive the liberty for a new and beautiful life.

Dear reader, come to God with the sincerity and openness of your heart. Allow God to break down every wrong and faulty foundation, so that He can build a new one and start afresh with you. It’s a new day for you.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, break down every limiting stronghold in my life.
2. Father Lord, I refuse to be rigid at heart.
3. Father Lord, I ask that you pull down every wrong foundation in my life and build a new one.
