You’re destined for great things. God designed your life to be great and fulfil a very important part in His eternal scheme of things. What makes your life very important is God’s purpose for your life. Your greatness is in fulfilling God’s eternal purpose for your life.

When God created you, He placed you in a family that exists within a society. As you grew older from your childhood, He connected you with different people who played different roles in your life. In every phase of your development, you’ve always met different people who played different roles in your life. This shows that you need people around you to fulfil God’s ultimate purpose for your life. You cannot become great in isolation. You need the right connection.

You need the right connection to the right set of people to become great. At this level of your life, you don’t need people who will waste your time and draw you backwards. David’s brother didn’t see any use for him on the battlefield. They felt his place wasn’t in the palace or on the battlefield. They felt his place was with the sheep. However, Jonathan saw him and immediately identified that this young man is destined for the throne. Those are the kind of new connections you need to help you arrive at your destined place of greatness.
