DAY THREE | KEYS TO RECEIVING THE FIRE OF GOD

by Oct 29, 202130 Days of Fresh Fire0 comments

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
Matthew 5:6

Do you desire to be on fire for God? Have you once been on fire, but you are now losing your fire gradually? Would you like to know how to receive the fire and consistently burn for God? My simple answer to you is hunger.

Many believers do not understand the gift of hunger but let me explain to you using food. Hunger pang becomes a moment of desperation for you. Isn’t it? Of course, you are willing to give everything you have just to satisfy your hunger. This is precisely the same experience you ought to have to receive the fire of God. Our hunger for God makes us desperately in search of Him through His words and prayers.

You cannot carry the fire of God if you do not know what God’s heart is burning for. Therefore, commit your heart and time to a rigorous scripture study to understand God’s heartbeat and take action in that direction. Interesting, God desires that the soul of humankind returns to Him. This is His heart cry, which you can only find in His word.

The fire of God is not for showmanship, but souls-this is the heart cry of God. God desires that through the fire He gives to you, many souls will return to Him. Also, if you are not a prayer addict, it will become impossible to receive the fire of God. A Christian that would carry the fire of God must be committed to ceaseless prayers (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Give more attention to prayers. Do it when it is convenient as well as when it is not. Your frequent prayers align your spirit to be more inclined to God than to the world.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father Lord, put in me an unquenching hunger for more of you.
2. Father Lord, please forgive me, restore me and help me live a life of obedience and total surrender to you.
3. I decree that the fire of God fall afresh on me.
