DAY SIXTEEN | FRESH FIRE ON MY ALTAR

by Nov 12, 202130 Days of Fresh Fire0 comments

“A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.”
Leviticus 6:13

Who is responsible for keeping the passion of God in you burning? Of course, it is your responsibility.
The fresh fire on your altar is the ability to fuel your passion for God continuously. First, if you do not love God, there is no way you will have the fire on your altar. So, to keep the passion of this love active, you must commit yourself to daily fellowship alone with God and among fellow believers.

More so, the fresh fire on the altar signifies the presence of God. As long as the priest keeps burning the fire on the altar, the Israelites are sure God is with them. Little wonder Apostle Paul admonished his son in the Lord, Timothy, that he must fan to flame the gift of the Spirit in him (2 Timothy 1:6). Dear believer, God’s presence is with you as long as you keep the fire of prayers burning on your altar.

In addition, the fresh fire on the altar is an indication that your sins have been forgiven. The Israelites keep the fire on the altar to offer guilt offering. Once the fire consumes the offering, they are persuaded that their sins are forgiven.

However, we have more sure conviction by the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus. Therefore, living in the consciousness of what Jesus had done for you would set your heart ablaze for Him. The sacrifice of Jesus’ love fuels your love, passion and desire for more of God.

PRAYER POINTS
1. I decree that the fire on my altar will never go down.
2. Father Lord, make me more conscious about your love so that my heart will be ablaze for you.
3. Father Lord, help me to pray more so that the fire on my altar will never go down.
