DAY EIGHT | I NEED A NEW ENCOUNTER

“And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.”
Acts 4:31

You need a new encounter. I do too. You cannot continue your Christian journey without daily trusting God for a new encounter. You need a new encounter because yesterday’s encounter cannot suffice for today’s challenges. Daily, we encounter challenges in life. Sometimes, people who depend on previous encounters or anointing end up being defeated by the new challenges of life.

In the Bible, the Apostle received the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Act 2. Of course, they would never be able to do anything in their Christian race without the Holy Ghost. He is the power at work in every believer. However, that one encounter wasn’t enough when challenges came. Though they had been baptized in the Holy Ghost, they still went further for a new encounter by praying earnestly.

Dear reader, a lot about your life depends on your daily prayers. If you are not a praying believer, you might be short-changing yourself of a new encounter. God manifests Himself to anyone who knows how to access the throne room of heaven through prayers.

This kind of prayer is not a petition or request but a desire for more of God.
God would never withhold himself from anyone who quests and press more for a new encounter. Today, I want you to become a person of prayers and commit to it every now and then. If you had been baptized in the Holy Ghost, pray more in the Holy Ghost and if you desire His baptism, you will have it right now even as you pray.

PRAYER POINTS
1. My Father God, I receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost afresh. Please fill me up with your Spirit.
2. Father God, put upon me a new burden of prayers.
3. Father God, I receive a new encounter as I commit myself to daily prayers.
