Day 20 – Kingdom Principles

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19

The kingdom of God is not ‘a lawless society’. There are accepted rules—principles if you will—that you learn when you become a follower of Jesus Christ. Obeying these principles will help you to navigate everyday life and guide you when you are not sure which direction to take. The principles are clearly spelt out in the kingdom constitution—the Bible—so if you want to succeed in the kingdom, you should be an ardent Bible student.

The systems of this world have been programmed to fail but thankfully, God has chosen you out of this world (John 15:19). Therefore, no system of government can work to your disadvantage if you function by kingdom principles.

Our text says, ‘If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land’ (Isaiah 1:19). You know there is much evil in the land, but if you listen to the Lord’s instructions, only the good in the land will be yours to enjoy.

The God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness can cause you to prosper in famine or austere times. He did it for Isaac (Genesis 26:1-14) and He can do the same for you. You are in this world but not of this world. You are born from above. There is a higher and better life in Christ and as you function from there, you will live a super-abundant life of grace and peace, and your results will be evident to all.

FOLLOW: If you follow the principles in the word of God, you will be an overcomer in a ruthless world.
