“And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.”
Leviticus 6:12
Have you been feeling so far away from God? Are you going through some challenges that seem to drain your spiritual energy? How strong is your prayer life lately? What are some habits or lifestyle that is causing a huge gap in your relationship with God? Today’s devotional will help you out of any form of spiritual mess and restore your fire.
You see, anything that keeps you from praying is a spiritual fire extinguisher. Sooner or later, it could make you forget you once had a relationship with God, let alone a prayer life. Fire extinguisher quenches your hunger for God and desires to seek God’s face.
Most times, people do not easily notice these fire extinguishers in their life until it becomes too late. Sometimes, a fire extinguisher could be an action you have developed over time which eventually becomes a habit you struggle with. For example, too much sleep could be a fire extinguisher that gradually kills your prayer time. Other times, it could be some distractions to steal your time.
The devil knows he cannot suddenly stop you from praying. So, he would give you some other activities to waste your time. The devil knows once you have wasted time, it will become impossible to redeem it again. Time is what you need to develop a consistent relationship with God through prayers and study. Once the devil can succeed in wasting your time, then he has taken over your altar.
PRAYER POINT
1. Father Lord, I receive strength to overcome every devil’s strategy to quench the fire in me.
2. I decree and declare that the devil will not waste my time.
3. Father Lord, I receive a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost to keep the fire on my prayer altar burning consistently.
