“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Revelation 3:8
There’s a door that no man can shut. It’s only the door that Jesus opens. When He opens a door to you no one on earth can shut it. No power of darkness can shut it. Jesus holds the key of David. He has the power to shut and open. By implication, Jesus is the supreme custodian of doors. He said in Psalms, “lift up your heads o ye gates…” (Psalms 24:7-10). You see, when a force on earth or in heaven shuts a door against you, Jesus has the supreme power to make it open because He is the key.
To experience open doors of opportunities, your desire, as articulated in your prayers, must be backed with works of righteousness. Open doors don’t answer to prayers alone. Jesus assess your works and contributions to the growth of His kingdom on earth and He determines if you deserve an open door. Nehemiah told God that He (God) should remember him (Nehemiah) for good because of the works he has done in God’s agenda in Israel.
God is faithful not to forget your labour of love. As you earnestly pray for new doors to be opened to you, don’t forget to also offer yourself to the service of God to receive a speedy response to your answers to your prayers. If you’ve been a faithful servant in God’s kingdom, your new doors are about to be opened!
